Ozark Will Take Its Final Bow On The Second Part Of Season 4: Here’s The Details!

It's been a long journey leading up to the conclusion of ‘Ozark,’  but we've finally arrived. In June 2020, Netflix renewed the blockbuster drama series for a fourth and final season, but the streamer revealed that the 14 new episodes would be published in two batches.

In January, the first part, labeled Season 4, Part 1, was released. The second half will be released on April 29 and will conclude with the series finale. Netflix has published a new trailer for Season 4 Part 2, which starts up where Season 4 Part 1 ended in January.

‘A Farewell to Ozark,’ a new 30-minute special that serves as a behind-the-scenes look at the show's creation, will air alongside the final episodes. The special 'explores the genesis of the series, the rich characters we loved and hated, the riveting performances that grabbed us, the creatives that made magic behind the camera, and a plethora of memories throughout the last five years,' according to Netflix.

Ozark was inspired by the hit television show Breaking Bad, in which a typical family man develops into a criminal antihero. Ozark, like that series, went on to become a frequent award nominee (and winner) as well as one of Netflix's best shows.

‘Ozark’ follows a married couple (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney) who relocate their family to the Lake of the Ozarks as part of a money-laundering plot. Throughout the series, they have sunk deeper into their treacherous life of crime, but the final season is dominated by the question of whether they will be able to get away with it.

‘Ozark’ was a critical and awards darling over the course of its four-season run, receiving rave reviews and 32 Emmy nominations. Julia Garner, who won two Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Bateman, who won Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, were among the winners.

Netflix confirmed the release date for the second part of Ozark season 4 with the final seven episodes on Friday, April 29. You can watch the new trailer below.

Several key characters died in the first episode, adding to the show's death toll. Ozark season 4 part 2 is predicted to be even more brutal and bloody than the first.

After getting into difficulty with a Mexican cartel, Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) moves his family to the Lake of the Ozarks region of Missouri in order to set up an even bigger money-laundering scheme for them. After settling in the neighborhood, Jack and his wife Wendy (Laura Linney) become involved with local crooks like the Langmore and Snell families, as well as the Kansas City Mafia.
