She stated that she never sent anything to Richard Gadd and might have sent only a few emails.
'I was seriously stalked and seriously harassed. However, we wanted this to exist in the realm of art and protect the people it was based on.'
She is suing Netflix for defamation, negligence, and emotional distress. According to The Guardian, Harvey has filed a $170 million lawsuit against Netflix.
'Lies about Harvey include that she is a twice-convicted and five-year-imprisoned stalker and that Harvey sexually assaulted Gadd. Because these facts made for a better story, and better stories made money. Netflix did nothing to verify the true story that Gadd told.'
