Reality Star Spends $160K to Lengthen Legs, Now Battles Bone Diseases

German reality show star Theresia Fischer made the decision to lengthen her legs back in 2016. Over the course of 4 years, she increased her height from 1.70 meters to 1.84 meters. However, Theresia is now facing various bone diseases as a result of the procedure.

German celebrity Theresia Fischer gained global recognition after undergoing leg-lengthening surgeries between 2016 and 2022.

Her height increased from 1.70 to 1.84 meters as a result of these procedures, which cost her approximately $160,000.

However, in recent months, Theresia began experiencing "horrible" pains in her legs.

She revealed suffering from periostitis, describing a terrible pain in her lower left leg. Theresia underwent a total of five surgeries on her left leg. Periostitis is defined as severe pain resulting from damage to the muscles around the calf.

The model has experienced two bone infections so far, with her pain stemming from these infections and inflammations.

Leg-lengthening surgeries involve initially separating the bones and then supporting them with metal rods, which remain in the legs for a period.

"It's very strange to run with metal in your legs."

Theresia particularly struggled during the filming of her reality show, trying not to put too much weight on her more painful left leg and relying on painkillers to stay on her feet, which she finds incredibly challenging.

Patients undergoing limb-lengthening surgeries face significant risks afterward.

These include nerve damage, muscle damage, joint contractures, dislocations, and arthritis risks. The famous model is currently not part of the reality show she was previously on, eagerly anticipating the day when the metal in her legs will be removed.
