Recent 2022 Rap Releases That You Must Hear!

March's new rap tracks add to an already intriguing list for the year. Check out the high-profile recent releases of early 2022.

Denzel Curry took the rap world by storm with his first Loma Vista release, TA13OO, his first record to reach the charts. Now three years after his last album ZUU, the 29-minute blast of hardcore fun, Melt My Eyez See Your Future goes all-out for a dynamic epic that marks the first must-hear rap record of 2022.

Nigo included this on his new compilation I Know NIGO!, but the song is just a Tyler, the Creator song with Pharrell Williams co-producing. Smooth rapping and a dark, somewhat sinister overtone mesh for a classic Tyler track.

The Big Day, the official debut studio album of Chance the Rapper, came out in 2019 along with very mixed reviews. Chance’s newest song, “Child of God,” is part of a larger art installation, though there is not yet an official album announcement.

From the soundtrack to Sonic The Hedgehog 2, “Stars In The Sky” has a more pop-influenced sound than usual. Scott Mescudi’s fans have followed him through worse directions, so I’m sure this won’t turn too many away.

Be on the lookout for more great releases every month! All tracks are also available on streaming services.
