Rumor Has it that Mahershala Ali’s Blade will Premiere on Disney+ and Not in Theaters

According to recent claims, Mahershala Ali will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe movie debut on Disney+ and not in the Blade theaters as many assumed.

On top of that, the movie Werewolf by Night will be released as a Halloween Special. Though we don’t exactly know the role that Blade plays in Werewolf by Night, report has it that the iconic vampire hunter could be looking to put up a superhero team and wants to recruit the titular wolfman.

Immediately after the release of Eternals, the forthcoming Blade film's synopsis surfaced on social media, further propelling viewers' anticipation for the movie's MCU premiere.

Eric Brooks (Ali), aka Daywalker, a half-human/half-vampire, has perfected his skills to hunt down immortal beings who have been terrorizing mankind for too long. Blade, the vampire hybrid since birth has been on a vampire hunting spree to avenge his mother's murder, who was killed by one of them. Over the years, he has honed his abilities to fight monsters of all kinds.

Blade’s production is quickly picking up pace. Delroy Lindo signed on for an undetermined role in November last year. Kit Harrington seems to also be on board for the movie.

Meanwhile, Werewolf by Night is also slowly taking shape, with the production making several casting calls recently, starting with Gael García Bernal who is said to play Jack Russell/Werewolf by Night. Speculations have it that the Irish actor Laura Donnelly will play Nina Price/Vampire By Night, an unstoppable vampire/werewolf hybrid.

Werewolf by Night is set to debut in late 2022. Its premiere date hasn’t been announced yet. We’ll sure keep you in the loop when we get more news.
