In an interview with the RuNews24 website, Alexey Didenko said, 'This will not happen due to our initiative. Public officials and authorities, especially those with access to confidential information, have long been prohibited from using these platforms. Didenko referred to the Netflix situation in Russia. The streaming platform decided to suspend its operations in Russia in March 2022.
Khinshtein stated that the American video-sharing platform could not pay the service fees of Russian data centers. According to Khinshtein, YouTube's download speed has decreased by 40%, and it is suggested that this could further drop by up to 70%.
The company stated, 'We are aware that some people in Russia are experiencing issues accessing YouTube. This is not the result of any technical issue or action taken on our part.'
