Sketch Comedy Show ‘Random Acts of Flyness’ Returns for a Second Season Four Years Later

Random Acts of Flyness is back with its second season, years after HBO completed the first instalment. The series is a 2018 sketch comedy created by Terence Nance for HBO. 

It launched its first season in August 2018 and received a renewal for season two in the same month. However, the show creators have not explained the significant delay for the second season launch since its renewal in 2018. 

Season one of Random Acts of Flyness garnered an impressive 100% Tomatometer, with an average audience score of 56% and 6.7/10 stars on IMDb. Terence Nance and HBO revealed that the second season would premiere sometime in December 2022.

Random Acts of Flyness follows a couple, Najja and Terence, working to mend their generational loopholes while returning to their traditional ways. 

The second season will have six episodes, similar to its pacesetter, with each piece following a separate dimension to present a specific spiritual practice in the liberation.

HBO recently shared the official trailer for Random Acts of Flyness season two via its primary YouTube Channel, nearly a month after posting the official teaser. 

The trailer, which is 1 minute and 28 seconds, presents several events from the upcoming instalment, including a glance at several spiritual practices, powers of the Black liberation, and a lot more you cannot afford to miss.

Random Acts of Flyness is created by Terence Nance, who also composes the show alongside Nick Hakim, Jon Bap, Nelson B. Nance, and Emile Mosseri. 

The series is chiefly produced by Nance, Chanelle A. Pearson, Tamir Muhammad, John Hodges, Ravi Nandan, Jamund Washington, Kishori Rajan, and Kelley R. Hicks. 

Anonymous Content, A24, and MVMT are the production companies behind the show’s success.

The upcoming season boasts plenty of talented actors similar to its predecessor, including Terence Nance as Terence, Ta’Neesha Murphy as Janaya, Austin Smith as Xavier, and Alicia Pilgrim as Najja. 

Other characters include Cedric Cannon, J. Nicholas Meese, and Lorna Pruce.

The second season of Random Acts of Flyness is scheduled to launch on Saturday, December 10th, with six amazing episodes.
