The drama of the mismatched paramedics spills over into the 2nd run of the medical series Bloods that premieres today March 23 on Hulu.
Bloods follows ambulance station colleagues through the world of medical emergencies in South London. While its first season was packed with British humor and comical scores, season 2 promises funnier moments from evolved returning cast members as well as interesting new additions.
The leading paramedics Maleek (Samson Kayo) and Wendy (Jane Horrocks) reprise their roles in season 2. They are joined by Aasiya Shah as Kareshma, Lucy Punch as Jo, Kevin Garry as Darryl, Adrian Scarborough as Gary, Julian Barratt as Lawrence and Sam Campbell as Darrell. Katherine Kelly and Nathan Foad join the cast this season as counsellor George and Wendy’s son Spencer respectively.
Bloods season 2 contains ten episodes, which will be released in two instalments. Catch the first five episodes on Hulu today.
Maleek is eagerly waiting for his leave to go on vacay. Unfortunately for him, things get sour as him and his partner Wendy's last call of the day ends up with them being held hostage by a distressed chicken shop employee. While Maleek is worried about missing his flight, Wendy is surprisingly calm, possibly because she’s avoiding having to go home to deal with her son Spencer.

With a rating of 6.3/10 on IMDb, Bloods makes for a good watch on a basic weekday night. IMDb’s top review remarks, 'A pretty easy watch if you just need something basic. A couple of good lines in an episode is worth a laugh. It's one of those comedies you've probably seen better, and you've probably seen worse. I'd continue to watch it if it gets another season.'
