The highly anticipated second season of Netflix's Squid Game will be released on December 26.

In the new season, Number 456, Seong Gi-hun, will attempt to eliminate other players and end the deadly competition.

The South Korean show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, recently gave an interview to the BBC, where he shared,

'Due to the stress of the first season, I lost 8 or 9 teeth. But despite that stress, I came back for a second season.'

According to Deadline, Hwang Dong-hyuk also revealed why he returned to the project.

He admitted that 'money' was a driving factor. 'I achieved worldwide success with the first season, but I didn’t make much money from it. I’ll make up for that with the second season,' Hwang said. 'I also didn’t get to fully finish the story. The stress I’m feeling now is even greater. I’ll probably have to get a few more teeth pulled soon.'
