The contestants' complaints mainly relate to their experiences during the shooting of the opening game, 'Red Light, Green Light.' This game required players to remain motionless for extended periods, which they claim led to their injuries.

The game was shot at Cardington Studios, a former Royal Air Force base in Bedford, during a cold snap. Netflix confirmed that three out of 456 players required medical attention but has not acknowledged any lawsuit filed by the contestants.
