Director Oz Perkins is preparing to bring a whole new breath of fresh air to the horror genre this summer with the movie 'Longlegs.'

Nicolas Cage stars in 'Longlegs,' known in our country as 'Cambaz,' and even before its release, critics have labeled it 'the scariest movie of the last 10 years.'

Of course, Oz Perkins hasn't just been working on 'Longlegs' during this time.

The director is also intensely focused on a Stephen King adaptation.

Oz Perkins, who also directed 'I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House,' is making a film based on the legendary horror writer King's short story 'The Monkey,' written in 1980.

The horror film 'The Monkey' centers on the terrifying events that twin brothers Hal and Bill experience when they find their father's old monkey toy in the attic.

The film, set to be released in 2025, features some very famous names in the lead roles.

Theo James, who was highly praised for his performance in Netflix's 'The Gentlemen' series, plays Hal in this film. He is joined by Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood.
