‘Super League: The War for Football’ Breaks Silence on the Rise and Fall of the Short-Lived Football Move

Apple TV+ is adding to its original projects in preparation for the New Year 2023.

Super League: The War for Football, a sports documentary produced by All Rise Films, is the newest addition to the streaming platform.

Apple TV+ recently revealed the official trailer and release date for Super League: The War for Football.

Super League: The War for Football sees various prominent football clubs and plans to create a separate league (Super League) and do away with the long-lived sport's traditions. The initial plans were for Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and other superior football clubs to create a league that would rival the Champions League.

However, the plan was greatly opposed by various football activists leading to chaos not long after the idea had been generated. The show will examine the presidents, individuals, and club owners who came up with the idea and fought against it.

Apple TV shared the official trailer for Super League: The War for Football roughly two weeks ago via its main YouTube Channel.

The trailer starts with various football personalities explaining the Super League idea, and they thought it would impact the industry.

Super League was cut short soon after it was born, but why? Let's find out when the documentary officially launches.

Super League: The War for Football is chiefly produced by Connor Schell of Words + Pictures and directed by Jeff Zimbalist of All Rise Films, alongside Libby Geist as the producer.

The show will bring the faces of several football personalities, such as Sepp Blatter.

Super League: The War for Football will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 13, 2023, as a four-episode sports documentary.

The streamer also shared the great news on its verified Twitter account, alongside the official trailer and a caption, 'The 4-part docuseries reveals the ripples within the world's most-beloved sport as a breakaway league challenges traditions.”
