Misha Collins also expressed his admiration for Turkey's historical riches. In a video he shared, he said the following in front of the Amyntas Rock Tombs in the Fethiye district of Muğla:
‘The US has existed for 250 years. This Turkish tomb is ten times as old. What will we be remembered for 2500 years from now?’
The Amyntas Rock Tombs are known as one of the most magnificent structures bearing traces of the Lycian civilisation. Built in the 4th century BCE by carving into steep rocks for the wealthy and important figures of the time, this monumental tomb takes visitors on a journey through time with its architectural details and impressive location. The columns on the front of the tomb offer an aesthetic reminiscent of ancient Greek temples, while the inscription ‘Amyntas, son of Ermes’ immortalises the owner of the structure.
The video Collins shot at this historic site drew attention to Turkey's deep-rooted past and reminded viewers of the value of the legacy left behind by civilisations over thousands of years.
