Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone made a surprising revelation during his appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' last Friday. Stallone hinted at the possibility of passing on the iconic 'Rambo' character to another actor, and if he decides to do so, he mentioned that Ryan Gosling would be his top choice. At the beginning of the interview, Fallon asked Stallone about his unexpected connection to this summer's biggest hit. 'You have a connection with the Oscar-nominated film, right?' Fallon started, and Stallone jokingly replied, 'Well, everyone used to call me 'Barbie,' so...' Fallon interrupted, saying, 'No, no, not that connection.'
'No, actually,' Stallone continued, 'the director said, 'Do you want to be in the movie?' And I said, 'I would love to be in the movie,' but then I got stuck on 'Tulsa King,' so it didn't happen. And then they sort of took my image and merged it with Ryan, which was really fantastic. So, that's the story.'
As the audience laughed, Fallon said, 'That's true.' Stallone continued, 'They put him in a fur mantle,' and Fallon, holding a photo from the movie, said, 'In the training scene, there are posters of you all over the walls in 'Barbie,' you're everywhere. And then, and then... Ken's coat.'
Fallon showed a side-by-side comparison photo of Gosling in a white Ken coat and Stallone in an old photo with his own white fur jacket. Stallone said, raising his hands, 'I was wearing a Ken coat. Really.'

'He's handsome, I'm not. That's why,' Stallone continued. 'No, seriously. Can you imagine me as Ken?' he asked. Then he grumbled and added, 'That wouldn't work at all.' 'So, but, he said, 'I admired Rambo, and I used to go to school in a Rambo outfit, people would chase me, but I wouldn't stop. And, you know, I would go on vacation as Rambo.' He consistently mentioned his connection to Rambo,' Stallone continued. 'And I thought, you know, that's interesting. If I ever pass the torch, I'll pass it to him.'
Stallone said the news of Weathers' death on February 2 was 'shocking.' 'He was amazing... 'Rocky' is truly a compilation of great actors, as if it were an assembly born to play these roles,' Stallone said. 'And I couldn't fill that place because it required incredible athleticism, intelligence, spirit, talent, and speed. He had everything. So, he had everything,' Stallone added. 'But the best thing was actually the first day he came to read because we were in such a difficult situation because no one could be found that night.'
'He was living in Oakland, and at the time, he was still playing linebacker for the Oakland Raiders,' the actor said. 'So, you know he's fit. He comes in, 'Oh my God, this has to be good.' He seemed to be in a bad mood. I said, 'Perfect, check that. Bad mood.' I liked it!
'With a loud voice, he's coming towards me. Then we started reading, and 'Wow, if you can find a real actor, I can perform! He's a loser, this is Rocky,' Stallone said. 'And then I stood up, and he really took off his shirt, and I thought, 'Oh my God, did I get into trouble?' because at that time, I looked a bit like Balloon Bear. I was like that, and he looked like Adonis, and he gave me about three hits to the forehead, and I thought, 'Hired,'' Stallone concluded.
