1- Bougatsa

Bougatsa is a traditional Greek pastry consisting of layered phyllo dough filled with semolina custard, although it also comes with minced meat or cheese varieties. The name of the dish is derived from the Ottoman Turkish word 'pogatsa,' meaning pastry filled with cheese.

2- Roti canai

Roti canai is a traditional pan-fried flatbread of Indian origin made with flour, water, eggs, and oil, but primarily associated with countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and Thailand. The dough for roti canai is repeatedly folded to create a layered texture, resulting in a soft inner part and a crispy outer layer.

3- Chilaquiles

Chilaquiles, at its simplest, is a dish made by assembling fried tortilla pieces soaked in optional meat and vegetable toppings with spicy sauce. This dish has become popular in both Mexico and the United States as a great way to use up stale tortillas. The name 'chilaquiles' is derived from 'chil-a-quilitl,' meaning greens or herbs in chili pepper water.

4- Nan-e barbari

Nan-e barbari is a wheat-based, yeast-leavened flatbread unique to Iran. It is typically shaped into a long oval and brushed with roomal, a flour paste that gives it a light golden crust while keeping the inside light and airy.

5- Zelnik

Zelnik is a traditional pie from North Macedonia that can be filled with various ingredients like cheese, spinach, eggs, meat, leeks, or cabbage. For best results, zelnik should be brushed with butter and oil before baking to develop a golden-brown color.

6- Komplet lepinja

This dish consists of a traditional flatbread (lepinja) split in half, covered with thick cream (kajmak), and topped with an egg. The combination is briefly cooked and should be soaked with a warm meat broth mixture locally known as pretop.

These flaky, golden crescent-shaped pastries are made best with pure butter and a lightly sweet yeast dough. When made correctly, the yellow-white interior should be slightly elastic when pulled apart and ready to be topped with a bit of butter or fresh jam.

8- Jianbing

Jianbing or fried crepe is a favorite breakfast item sold by numerous street food vendors in China in the early hours of the morning. It is a thin and savory crepe-like pancake made by spreading the batter onto a hot, cast-iron griddle with a wooden paddle.

9- PĂŁo de queijo

Literally meaning 'cheese bread,' pĂŁo de queijo's origins trace back to the culinary inventions of African slaves who began using remnants of the cassava plant. A fine white powder or starch is rolled into balls and then baked.

10- Katmer

Katmer, a type of sweet pastry, is a special delicacy from Gaziantep, Turkey's gastronomy capital and a rich meeting point of different cultures and cuisines in Southeastern Anatolia, abbreviated as Antep.
