Bakacak Viewing Terrace is located within the boundaries of Uludağ National Park, close to the Sarıalan region. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,700 metres, this viewing area is an ideal stop for those who want to enjoy the cool air of Uludağ and see the Bursa Plain from a bird's eye view.
Access to Bakacak is quite easy in summer by private vehicle or cable car. After taking the cable car to the Uludağ station, you can reach Bakacak by a short drive or a walk towards Sarıalan. The viewing terrace offers a particularly lively atmosphere in summer and a more tranquil one in winter.
At sunset, Bakacak hosts a mesmerising spectacle of colours. The sun turning red, orange and purple on the horizon, combined with the lights of the Bursa Plain stretching out below, creates a picture-postcard view. Watching the sunset accompanied by the cool mountain air, the scent of pine and the chirping of birds offers visitors both tranquillity and a visual feast.
For photography enthusiasts, Bakacak offers the opportunity to capture unique shots with the sunset light. Furthermore, as there are picnic areas and rest spots around the terrace, it is possible to enjoy a pleasant time with the family. In summer, it is advisable to bring a light jacket due to the evening chill; in winter, it is necessary to be more prepared as the area can be snowy and quite cold.
