The first trailer of the supernatural horror film "The Exorcism," directed by Joshua John Miller and starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins, has been released.

Crowe portrays Anthony Miller, an actor who loses his mind while filming a supernatural horror movie. In the film, Ryan Simpkins plays Miller's daughter Lee, who is unsure if her father will relapse into his past addictions.

Joining Crowe and Simpkins in "The Exorcism" are Sam Worthington from "Avatar," Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, and David Hyde Pierce.

According to Variety, renowned actor Russell Crowe also starred in the demon-exorcism-themed film "The Pope's Exorcist" last year. Crowe portrayed the role of Father Gabriele Amorth, the chief exorcist of the Vatican.

"The Pope's Exorcist" garnered mixed reviews from critics despite earning $77 million worldwide. While some critics praised the film, others were critical of Crowe's Italian accent.
