‘The Glory’ Part 2 Will be Released This March: Here’s What to Expect

Teaser:

Retaliation stories often make for the most horrific thrillers, and a new Netflix K-drama is bringing the suspense to television. The Glory, directed by Ahn Gil-ho and written by Guardian: The Great and Lonely God author Kim Eun-sook, chronicles a woman's decades-long quest to get retribution on the high school bullies who left her with severe physical and psychological scars. Years later, Dong-eun (Song) takes on the role of homeroom teacher for the daughter of bully ringleader Yeo-jin and launches her methodical strategy to piece together each of the bullies' lives (Im Ji-yeon).

Fans of K-dramas must see The Glory, but it won't be a typical 16-episode binge. Instead, the season has been split into two halves, with the first eight episodes debuting on December 30, 2022. Read on to learn everything we know about when to expect the next eight episodes now that thousands of people have already zipped through the first drop—with the show logging 25.41 million hours watched in the first weekend alone.

What to Expect on The Glory Part 2

The official synopsis for The Glory reads:

“Moon Dong-eun dreamed of becoming an architect in her high-school days. However, after suffering from a brutally violent attack by her bullies, Moon Dong-eun is forced to drop out of school. Years later, the bully married, has a child and attends the same elementary school where Moon Dong-eun now works as the homeroom teacher. After years of plotting, Moon Don-eun begins her revenge plan against her former bullies and the students who stood by and let it happen.”

Kim shared in a press release, “If you’ve watched Part 1, you won’t be able to resist Part 2. Part 2 is refreshingly satisfying and shockingly intense,” director An Gil-ho added, “The fight between Dong-eun and Yeon-jin really takes off and the perpetrators dynamically meet their end. You won’t be able to take your eyes off of the screen. All elements of the story will now come full circle.”

The relevant tweet has been deleted or hidden by its owner.

According to Netflix, part two will debut on March 10, 2023. So, you won't have to wait too long for that satisfying conclusion. Even though the pictures in the tweet don't reveal much, they do show one thing we were hoping for: a bleeding Jae-jun. The other scenes are more enigmatic: Dong-eun is looking stern and troubled (when is she not, really? ), Yeon-jin is on the phone in the snow while wearing a cute pink coat, and interestingly, her love interest and Go teacher Yeo-jeong is playing with Yeon-supremely jin's intelligent husband Jung Sung-il.

This implies that Yeo-jeong will finally play a direct role in Dong-plot eun's as opposed to idly watching and acting like a good doctor while appearing lovesick.

The Glory Part 2 Characters

Since their story is still very much incomplete, it seems sense that the same cast of characters, played by the same actors, are involved.

This implies:

  • Song Hye-kyo (Dong-eun)

  • Ji-yeon Lim (Yeon-jin)

  • Hieora Kim (Sa-ra)

  • Sung-il Jung (Do-yeong)

  • Joo Young Cha (Hye-jeong)

  • Do-hyun Lee (Ju Yeo-jeong)

  • Sung-hoon Park (Jeon Jae-jun)

We will riot if Yeom Hye-Kang ran's Hyeon-nam isn't available any longer. One of our all-time favorite characters is the former victim of domestic abuse who became a stealth investigator, and she needs to be safeguarded at all costs. She will once more have a meal of stew and eggs with her daughter!

Myeong-oh, the thug and dealer who served as Kim Gun-woo’s sidekick, is dead, but that doesn't mean he won't reappear in flashback scenes because we don't know for sure who killed him.

Possible Scenarios in The Glory Part 2

Dong-eun sowed the seeds of strife in each of the lives of her old bullies throughout the course of the first eight episodes. She threatened Sa-ra and Hye-jeong with information that would jeopardize their futures as actors and newlyweds, respectively. Jae-joon intends to obtain custody of Ha Ye-sol by dissolving the marriage between Yeon-jin and Do-young. He is aware that he is Ha Ye-biological sol's father. In addition to all of that, Myeong-oh is still missing. Now that he has been located, the threesome could be exposed due to his shady connections with Sa-ra and Jae-joon.

Between naturally talented spy Hyun-nam and sworn executioner Yeo-jung, Dong-eun has assembled a squad to assist her with the last portion of her retaliation. After learning that his wife was a ruthless tyrant who had cheated on him their entire marriage, Do-young might even join her side. He and Dong-eun have a cliffhanger meeting in which she discloses that he is a crucial component of her strategy to completely destroy Yeon-jin.

In true melodramatic flair, The Glory's complex chain doesn't even finish there. The majority of Yeo-history jung's has finally been revealed, but it is still unknown whether the endearing surgeon can ever recover from his wrath over his father's death. He appears to be using Dong-eun as a channel for his need for vengeance instead, which could result in both of them sacrificing their souls to their objective. We are also unsure of what will happen to Hyun-nam, who runs the risk of losing her child if Dong-eun carries out their agreement and kills her abusive husband.

Yoon So-hee, another past victim of the bullies who passed away prior to them harassing Dong-eun, remains a mystery. If Yeon-jin indeed did kill her and subsequently kill Myeong-oh when he threatened to reveal her, Dong-plot eun's will probably finish with a huge death toll and some tragic losses.
