A group of friends, including Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teen sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their pals Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), travel to the little town of Harlow, Texas, to establish a new business endeavor that they hope would succeed. As a result of an accident, they interrupt Leatherface's residence, the psychotic serial killer whose blood-soaked reputation continues to haunt the area's population, notably Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the only survivor of his infamous 1973 slaughter who is hell-bent on getting retribution.
