Lion Sanctuary

Located in a village called Kümbet in Seyitgazi District of Eskişehir, the Lion Shrine is approximately 75 kilometers south of Eskişehir. The Lion Sanctuary, which is the work of the Phrygian and Roman periods and whose other name is Solon's Tomb, has remained with this name because of its lion reliefs.

Himmet Baba Tomb

Himmet Baba Tomb, located within the borders of Kümbet Village, has survived from the 13th century to the present day. This tomb, which is octagonal when viewed from the outside, is designed to be circular from the inside.

Gerdekkaya

Gerdekkaya, dating from the Hellenistic Age, was restored in 1991.  Located in the Soğanlı Valley, this structure is a mausoleum.

Pişmiş Castle

Located 1.2 kilometers from Yazılıkaya Village, Pişmiş Kale has walls made of rock blocks and chambers carved into the rock. In addition to these, there is a cistern and monumental tombs around it.

Midasşehir

Midasşehir is the name given to the place where many Phrygian ruins are located. Yazılıkaya, merged with Midasşehir, is a Circassian village. 

Midas Monument (Yazılıkaya)

Midas Monument, also known as Yazılıkaya, is located 80 km from Eskişehir. The Midas Monument, which sheds light on the history of Phrygia, was built 550 BC according to the researches.

Kırkgöz Rocks

These rocks, which consist of chambers, provide information about the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. 

Küçük Yazılıkaya

Küçük Yazılıkaya, located on the opposite side of Pişmiş Kale, is 1.7 kilometers north of the village. Hasanbey Rock, also known as Hasanbey Rock, is the least damaged structure that has survived to the present day.

Yapıldak Castle

Yapıldak Castle is a castle located in the Kümbet Valley and southwest of Yapildak Village.

Aslankaya

It is a monumental tomb belonging to the Phrygians with large reliefs on the right side of Lake Emre after proceeding north from Üçlerkayası Village.

Üçlerkayası

Üçlerkayası is a village located 42 km from the center of Afyonkarahisar and 7 km from Ihsaniye district. The number of village people engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry did not even reach 600 in the last census.

In the researches conducted, information was found that the Hittites lived in 2000 BC. Many different civilizations such as Phrygians, Romans, Seljuks ruled here.

Aslantaş and Yılantaş

Aslantaş and Yılantaş are just two of the structures you should see in the Phrygian Valley. These structures in the same location were built in the 7th century BC. According to rumors, Aslantaş is the tomb of the king at the time it was built.

Avdalas Castle

Avdalas Castle, which is a fortress of huge rocks, has been used as a settlement since the reign of the Byzantine Empire.

Ayazini Church

Ayazini Church belongs to the Byzantine period of the 1000s. Especially the domed interior structure attracts attention. This place is called Gavur Hamam among the people. 

According to a rumor, the reason why the interior of the church is covered with soot is because of the smoke coming out of the boilers here. But the common thought is that this soot was caused by the torches used to illuminate the content.
