It's been more than two years since The Umbrella Academy's second season dropped on Netflix, and the third season has just dropped on the streaming site.
However, fans are already impatiently awaiting news about the show's future.

The Umbrella Academy is a superhero show based on graphic novels of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
The series follows a group of seven children, who were all born on the same day in 1989 to women who showed no signs of pregnancy before giving birth.
The siblings, who all have unique superpowers, are adopted by a billionaire and raised together in an orphanage called The Umbrella Academy.
As they grow up, the siblings drift apart until they are brought back together as adults by their father's death. They must then work together to solve a mystery surrounding his death and prevent an apocalypse from occurring.
While the first season largely took place in the present day, the second season jumped ahead in time to 1963, when the siblings had to stop another apocalypse from happening. The third season also took place in the present day, with the siblings dealing with the fallout of the events of the second season.
It's currently unknown where The Umbrella Academy season 4 will take place or what the plot will be about. However, considering that the third season ended on a major cliffhanger, we're willing to bet that there is a fourth season planned.

After all, the first season of The Umbrella Academy premiered on Netflix in February 2019, and the second season followed in July 2020. The third season was released on Netflix in June 2022.
The Umbrella Academy season 4 will likely see the siblings traveling back in time again, as they did in the second season. There have also been rumors that the show will introduce a new character in the form of a love interest for one of the siblings.
