Trailer for ‘It Ends With Us’ Released: Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Star in Romantic Drama Adaptation

The first trailer for “It Ends With Us” showcases the chemistry between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, set to the backdrop of Taylor Swift’s song “My Tears Ricochet.”

Based on a Best-Selling Novel

The romance film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel. Lively plays Lily, a small-town girl who relocates to Boston to start her own business. There, she meets Ryle, a neurosurgeon completing his residency, played by Baldoni. Although they hit it off, they have different life goals.

Release Date and Production Challenges

Originally set for a February 9 release, the film's production halted in June 2023 due to the WGA strike. Filming resumed in January following the end of the strikes, and Sony now plans to release the film on August 9.

Blake Lively's Commitment

Lively, who also served as an executive producer, shared her thoughts with People, stating, “Lily resonated with an enormous amount of people, as the success of the book made clear. Stepping into a character who’s had such a meaningful impact is an honor to take on. I loved Lily. And I hope that love is felt by those who care about her like I do, and also those who are getting to know her for the first time in this film.”

Direction and Production

“It Ends With Us” is directed and executive produced by Justin Baldoni through his company Wayfarer Studios.
