Turkey's renowned burger brand, Yesen Burger, is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The fast food chain, boasting 18 branches and 250 employees across the Marmara Region, has declared concordat. According to a report by Murat Beyaz from Sözcü, the popular brand had an annual target of opening 10 new branches. However, Yesen Burger succumbed to a crisis due to escalating costs and high expenses.
Alarm bells have started to ring for Yesen Burger. Struggling due to rising costs, high rental expenses, and food prices, Yesen Burger has declared bankruptcy protection, also known as concordat. The company, operating under the brand 'Enburger', has been granted a temporary respite for three months.
The decision was published by the Küçükçekmece Primary Commercial Court. The court ruled for the appointment of three concordat commissioners.
Creditors were granted a period of 7 days to lodge objections. Meanwhile, Yesen Burger, a local burger brand, was established in the early 2000s. It was serving in 18 branches across the Marmara Region. The popular brand had a workforce of 250 employees. Yesen Burger was setting its sights on opening 10 new branches each year.
