Turkish Drama ‘Midnight at Pera Palace’ (Season 1): Cast, Release Date, Trailer, Storyline, and What we Know so Far

It is based on a young journalist named Esra reflecting on Midnight at the Pera Palace and her experience with the famous Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul.

'Midnight at the Pera Palace' is based on Charles King's award-winning non-fiction book of the same name. The eight-episode series features Esra (Hazal Kaya), a teenage journalist, and her interaction with Istanbul's famed Pera Palace Hotel. When Esra is given the task of writing a feature on the hotel, she unintentionally discovers that one of the historic rooms is a doorway to 1919.

She is thrown into the past and finds herself in the heart of a political plot against Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. Esra must defend the path of history and the destiny of Turkey with the help of Ahmet (Tansu Biçer), the eccentric hotel manager.

But Istanbul in 1919 is a dangerous place, and Esra soon learns that nothing is as it seems, and no one is who they claim to be, when she meets Halit (Selahattin Paşal), the handsome and mysterious owner of Istanbul's craziest club.

'Midnight at the Pera Palace' will be on Netflix on March 3rd 2022. The show will comprise eight episodes.
