Amazon Games has addressed its huge plans for the popular MMORPG, stating that more exciting content, particularly two additional classes, will be released.
This April, the Glaivier, an advanced female martial artist class that wields both a glaive and a spear, will be ready for battle in the world of Lost Ark. Isn't she an assassin?
She also has two stances that she can freely switch between in battle, depending on the weapon she uses: Focus and Flurry. The spear employs the Flurry stance to unleash wild combos, whereas the glaive employs the Focus stance for devastating strikes and broad attacks.
Then there's the Destroyer, an advanced warrior class who wields a massive hammer that dwarfs Thor's hammer. The hammer appears to be powerful enough to knock down a house in a single blow (Volendrung reference from Skyrim). This awesome warrior class will be available to play in May.
These new classes are only just scratching the surface of what Amazon Games has in store for us. A new continent will also appear this month called South Vern. The continent was said to be a Tier 3 continent that contains exciting new quests and items to experience.
According to a blog post by Amazon Games, they have also addressed the concerns players have about the game being “pay-to-win”.
“We're going to keep the near future focused on horizontal content and giving players clear paths for progression without feeling like they need to pay.”
“We want to give more players time to reach the end-game before introducing Legion Raids (the definitive Lost Ark raiding experience), and ensure players are able to explore Arkesia and progress at their own pace without feeling pressured to race toward end-game content.”
Amazon Games also clarified in their blog post that new content will be released not only in April and May, but also in the months ahead.
