Deep in the Amazon, a 6.5 km long river starts with a cold current and can reach temperatures of up to 91 degrees Celsius. There are different theories about the cause of the strange temperature difference. According to explorer and geophysicist Andres Ruzo, the river is fed by a volcano. But the nearest volcano is 750 kilometers away. The other theory is that it could be hot water seeping through fault lines. Thus, the river becomes a geothermal system unique in the world. The Devil's Kettle waterfall in Minnesota is another phenomenon that science can't explain. Along the Brule River, the water splits into two different paths.
