Viggo Mortensen, known to everyone for his role as Aragorn, has revealed a surprising detail related to 'The Lord of the Rings' in his new film, 'The Dead Don't Hurt.' Discover the details inside!

Known to all of us for his role as Aragorn in the 'Lord of the Rings' series, Viggo Mortensen premiered his new film, 'The Dead Don't Hurt,' at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Mortensen wrote, directed, produced, and starred in this film.

The feminist western 'The Dead Don't Hurt' features Mortensen alongside Vicky Krieps, Solly McLeod, Garret Dillahunt, Colin Morgan, Ray McKinnon, Luke Reilly, Atlas Green, and Danny Huston.

Mortensen's new film centers around a woman named Vivienne, who is attacked while her husband is fighting for the Union army. Set in the 1860s, Viggo Mortensen plays the role of Holger Olsen.

According to the Independent, Viggo Mortensen, famous for his role as Aragorn, revealed that there is a surprise related to 'The Lord of the Rings' in this film.

Speaking to GQ magazine, the 65-year-old Mortensen said,

'While shooting a scene with a knight on horseback, we realized something was missing. The horse was ready, the saddle was there, the medieval drapery and knight costume were ready, but we were missing a sword. None of the swords I looked at fit the scene. I had kept Aragorn's sword after the 'Lord of the Rings' filming ended. I wanted to use it in this scene, so I asked for permission from Peter Jackson, the series' director. Both Jackson and the production company of 'The Lord of the Rings' gave their permission. So, don't be surprised if you see Aragorn's sword in the film. It all happened at the last minute,' he said.
