We Own This City is based on the nonfiction book of the same title by Justin Fenton, a Baltimore Sun Reporter. The six-part series centres on the ups and downs of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force as deep-rooted corruption causes the system’s downfall.
The series’ first episode landed on the streaming platform today and already has a 9.1/10 rating by a top-rated critic on IMDb. Synopsis: Momodu Gondo is involved in interrogation as a detective in a neighbouring county uncovers several overdose cases in Baltimore.
Holding notable roles in the main spotlight are Jon Bernthal as Sergeant Wayne Jenkins, Wunmi Mosaku as Nicole Steele, Jamie Hector as Sean M. Suiter, McKinley Belcher III as Momodu “G Money” Gondo, Darrell Britt-Gibson as Jernell Rayam, Josh Charles as Daniel Hersl, Dagmara Domińcyzk as Erika Jensen and Rob Brown as Maurice Ward.
