These past few years, Marshmello has appeared virtually everywhere, most recently tonight at the 2022 VMAs, where he is nominated for Song of the Summer.
Marshmello is an American electronic music artist, producer and DJ known for global hits like 'Silence,' 'Wolves,' and 'Friends.' He was born on May 19, 1992, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Marshmello's exact face is still a mystery because of the big, white marshmallow-shaped hat he always sports in public.
He first gained notoriety for remixing songs by American DJ duo Jack Ü and Russian-German DJ Zedd. He continued to release music, and eventually he started to catch the attention of other musicians. Despite the DJ and producer's 'mystery' persona, there is a good deal of proof that Marshmello is not who he claims to be. Marshmello later stated on Twitter that his name is 'Chris... short for Christmas came early' after Skrillex first told Katie Couric that the upcoming DJ was named 'Chris.'
The white marshmallow-head DJ and producer is registered as a songwriter and performer on BMI using his legal name “Christopher Comstock.” In 2016, there were allegations that Mashmello was Chris Comstock because they have the same leg tattoo, even though his face was concealed. Comstock is an American DJ whose stage name was Dotcom.
