Though critical reviews didn't help, what really sank the show is that not many people were not tuning in to watch it.
Ghosted started with promising ratings in its October 1, 2017 debut but hastily lost its touch. FOX predicted the series to be a big hit when they released it for small screen audiences. Putting together the leading duo of comedy icons Scott and Robinson, joined by other well-known faces like Amber Stevens West, Adeel Akhtar and Ally Walker seemed like a good idea.
But once Ghosted hit the small screens, it quickly suffered in comparison to other supernatural comedy sitcoms that were funnier and way less predictable. Needless to say, reviewers weren't too eager about the show's accomplishments in each week's instalment.
Some shows can tread on poor ratings as long as they have a large audience. However, Ghosted failed to attract a large following. Even at its climax, it only made a mild impact, and because of that Fox decided to pull the plug and move on.
