According to The Independent, a woman in the state of Michigan, USA, decided to buy a lottery ticket after realizing that the Powerball jackpot had exceeded 1 billion dollars. Instead of selecting the numbers herself, she decided to consult with ChatGPT. She then purchased a ticket with the numbers provided by the artificial intelligence.
'When I checked the winning numbers, I realized I had correctly guessed 4 white balls and the Powerball, and it dawned on me that I must have won something,' said the woman who ended up winning a total of 100,000 dollars. The lucky woman plans to use her lottery winnings to pay off her house debt and save for the future.
'Google told me that this was a prize worth 50,000 dollars, so I thought that's what I had won. However, when I logged into my Michigan Lottery account, I noticed that I had added the Power Play to my ticket and had actually won 100,000 dollars. My husband and I couldn't believe our eyes,' she added.
In a previous instance, a grocery store worker in North Carolina, who purchased a lottery ticket during his break with the assistance of ChatGPT, was significantly wealthier by the end of his shift. The ticket he bought for $5 suddenly transformed into a grand prize of $200,000.
